Full Licence Requirements – Direct Entry: Specialty Medicine Practice

1. A degree from a World Directory of Medical Schools recognized university or school of medicine
2. One of the following:
   1. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Certification; or
   2. Successfully completed discipline appropriate postgraduate training program in the United States of America and current certification with any Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties in their discipline of training
3. Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) or acceptable alternative
4. Currency of Practice
5. English Language Proficiency
6. Good Character – all or some of the following may be required
   • Up to 3 References
   • Criminal Record Check
   • Certificate(s) of Professional Conduct from each Jurisdiction a Licence has been held in the previous 10 years
   • Disciplinary and background questionnaire
7. Government issued photo identification
8. Evidence of Professional Liability Coverage for Newfoundland and Labrador
