Quality Improvement
Patients expect and deserve the best possible care from their physicians. All licensed physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador should be able to demonstrate that they are maintaining and enhancing their competence throughout their careers. The College expects physicians to use the principles of continuous quality improvement in a way that is responsive to their own unique learning needs. The College supports its members through its quality improvement programs.
The College’s objective with respect to quality improvement is to promote a culture of learning, openness, and dedication to improving patient care. By using objective data and facilitated support, physicians will be able to look at their practices in a novel, supported way, and identify meaningful, achievable improvements.
