Preparing for a Peer Review

Prior to the peer review, physicians will receive a number of documents to help them prepare, including:

  • Information about the review process
  • information about practice quality risk and support factors
  • relevant College reference material, including the reviewer’s toolkit

Peer reviewers will be provided with information to help them conduct their review, including:

  • a reviewer toolkit
  • a physician’s pre-review questionnaire(s)
  • a physician’s CPD history

Peer review of medical records takes approximately three hours.
