Continuing Professional Development
All Registrants with a licence must follow the College’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policy. This means they must sign up for the required CPD program and keep meeting its requirements. A Registrant is not compliant with the CPD policy if they are in a remedial cycle or have been removed from their CPD program.
If a Registrant cannot meet the CPD requirements because of illness, parental leave, caregiving, or another serious situation, they can apply to the Quality Assurance Committee for a deferral using the appropriate form.
If the Committee approves the deferral, the Registrant will be told the decision and how long the extra time lasts. If it is not approved, the Registrant will be told the decision and given a date to meet the CPD requirements (if they are not meeting them now).
