Practice Supervision

Physicians issued a Provisional Licence in Newfoundland and Labrador are required to have oversight from a sponsor for the duration of that licence. The sponsor will appoint a supervisor that is acceptable to the College.

The role of supervisors is to monitor, assess, and support supervised physicians as they work towards full licensure. Supervisors and their report to the College play an important role in ensuring access to quality patient care for residents of Newfoundland and Labrador.
